FUCKING HELL, TORCHWOOD

WHEN?!!?! WHEN DID THIS BECOME A SHOW I CARE ABOUT SO MUCH THAT THE FINALE LEAVES ME IN FLOODS OF TEARS?!?!?

Just.... TOSH. Oh god, poor poor amazing Tosh. For a horrible time towards the end I thought they were actually going to have her die ALONE, which would just be the worst possible thing - but thank god, they had Jack and the others come along so she died with them there, knowing she'd done amazingly and had helped save the world Cardiff. Dying surrounded by people she loved was the best thing she could really have - while Owen dying knowing he'd just saved millions of people, especially with his whole speech to Jack in 'Fragments' about how you can never save enough, was the best thing for him. So yes, writers, you threw me a tiny bit of comfort there, BUT DAMN YOU YOU BROKE ME.

I just about managed to hold it in when Owen died. I was only just coming round to properly liking his character anyway. But when Tosh died, I lost it. I LOVED Tosh. I always felt so bad for her and wished the writers would cut her a break.

AND THEN! AND THEN THEY HAD THAT VIDEO OF HER THAT SHE'D RECORDED JUST IN CASE SHE DIED. WHERE SHE WAS SO HAPPY AND SMILEY AND NOT IMAGINING WHAT IT WAS REALLY GOING TO BE LIKE. OH TOSH. TOOOOOSH.

Other thoughts, so I can try to stop crying already.

Gwen was pretty bearable this episode. If the rumours that John Barrowman's leaving Torchwood for her to take over are true, if she shows anywhere near the competence she had at the police station then I could stand it. Though I don't need Rhys and Andy to TELL me she's doing good. Writers, I know you think she's the Sparkliest Unique-est Snowflake Evar, but remember SHOW, DON'T TELL. Especially don't lump the Awesomeness that is Rhys and Andy with it.

Ianto wasn't in it nearly enough. Though the bit where he shot the Reapers with Tosh? AWESOME. ON. A. STICK.

I've realised I couldn't actually care less about Jack. Just... John Barrowman's acting annoys me. I would go more into it, but I have to go meet [info]kleenexcow at the station.

And I'm in floods. Oh SHIT.

TOOOOOOOOOOSH.

PS "I forgive you"??? Shut up, Jack. You're not the Doctor. And no amount of Messiah-ness, historical figure name-dropping, FoeYay or having faithful female assistants saying "I wouldn't have missed it for the world" is going to convince me otherwise.

Ahaha I KNOW. During S1 I was like 'tralalala series to pass the time', before S2 I was like 'meh TW', during S2 I was like 'crack crack crackety crack YAY JANTO' and then... the finale.
I CRIED FOR LIKE AN HOUR.

TOSH. TOSH. TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH.
I loved her so much.

YOU. READ. MY. MIND.
And I heard that JB is not going to be the focus of TW anymore? He's going to be in it less?
But I still dislike Gwen. During Fragments I was all like 'oh hey wait she's part of the team as well. didn't miss her'.
I... like Jack. He's just an ass sometimes. And John Barrowman is not the best actor, but his charisma makes up for it for me.

Ianto wasn't in it nearly enough.
BIG FAT WORD.
I don't think I would come back to Torchwood if Ianto had died.

One positive thing about this episode:
with Owen dead, they need a medic. I CAN HAZ MARTHA TIEM NAO PLZ?

I've heard Martha IS joining full-time, and that they're getting a new techie type person... rumour is, it's Mickey from series 1&2 Doctor Who. But I believe it was the Sun reporting that, who also believed that Tom Cruise was going to guest-star in a Dr Who episode.

OH MAN if Mickey joined it would be EPIC!

But they BETTER not ruin his character (like they did with Jack) because he was my favorite! (Not dying would be nice too.)

CRAP CRAP CRAP I WAS ALMOST CRYING. SHOWS NEVER MAKE ME ALMOST CRY!!!

I WAS JUST. TELLING. [info]cookie_simone HOW MUCH I LIKED TOSH. AND THEN. AND THEN. IT BROKE ME. IT LITERALLY BROKE ME. I MIGHT BE HOME SICK, NAUSEOUS, BECAUSE OF IT. BUT MAYBE IT WAS THE PART WHERE I DIDN'T SLEEP WITH A BLANKET.

BUT

TOOOOOOOOOOSH

SHE WAS THE BEST THING ABOUT THE SHOW ASIDE FROM IANTO (KICKASS) AND REALLY? GWEN RUNNING TORCHWOOD? I THINK THEY ALL DEPEND ON JACK WAAAAAY TOO MUCH, HE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO LEAVE.

I WAS KINDA READY FOR OWEN TO DIE. I MEAN, HE WAS ALREADY DEAD, AND BRINGING HIM BACK WAS KINDA STUPID. HIS CHARACTER STORYLINE WAS ALREADY USED UP.

BUT, BUT, BUT,

TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH

HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WRITE A MUSHY ROMANTIC-COMEDY NOW AFTER THIS?!?!?!?!

PEE ESS: I WANT TO MARRY ANDY AND HAVE PRETTY SARCASTIC BABIES WITH HIM.
