3YGB!

Last weekend was the big end-of-year TT event, the 3YGB, which... will be pretty impossible to describe to anyone who doesn't have an idea of what LARPing is. Those who do, it was AWESOME, I basically spent all weekend politic-ing, being dodgy as hell, hitting things, and being in a constant state of Epic Classics Squee. On a related note, Alexander the Great/Helen of Troy is now [info]reasonablycrazy's OTP.

Unfortunately, my arms and legs are now covered in midge bites, which makes life VERY ITCHY. I'm just hoping they clear up by my sister's ball on Friday, or I'm going to look like a plague victim.

Bond filming today! Also, I just bought ticket to see Neil Gaiman in Edinburgh in August! AND it's sunny! Today is off to a good start.

No, it was in Hamsterley Forest at the Woodcraft Folk's Outdoor Centre. Unfortunately there was a river nearby and after some light rain on Saturday morning, it was warm and sunny for the rest of the weekend with all the blood-sucking midges a masochist could want.

Even Iasus's 5ft4 wide Giant Friendly Crab carapace couldn't save him! They bit him in his Weak Point for Massive Damage. =)

Too true. The only place I was protected was under my leather corset and greaves. The rest of me looks like the leper's curse worked after all.

Just saw the link to here on your FB. This blog is brilliantly written!

Mine though, due to Permanent Lack Of Time, and to paraphrase [info]thewhitespider, tends to be just a convenient way for me to read everybody else's journals and post the occasional comment...

Please prod whoever took the photos of us all to get them up on the website as soon as!

After my 3YGB I counted 37 bites just on the lower calf of 1 leg. Dawn rituals suck as that's when the midges come out; I so should have played a Vivamortian.
